Hi,
We've owned a 2005 307 since July 2006 and it is still under warranty.
Yesterday, smoke started coming from underneath the car and according to the local Peugeot garage, the clutch has burnt out,,,there were no warning signs that there was a problem and the same garage serviced it a month ago.

Peugeot dealer says it's fair wear and tear and not a defect or fault but I've heard that there have been problems ralating to the flywheel/clutch.

At the moment the clutch is being stripped on a shared cost basis to see whats what.

Does anyone have any info about any clutch problems?

Many thanks.

307 cc

Hi we bought a 307cc at the end of October 2007, it had 15k on the clock we have done nearly 1.5k and had some problems caused by the car dealership where we bought it, including paintwork, brakes and clutch. The car went back to the garage last week and to cut a long story short the clutch has gone, and we have to pay for it. I am amazed that a 2 & 1/2 year old car can need a new clutch and that worse still we are at the moment expected to pay half!!!!!! Any one else suffering?
