I recently brought a 1.6hdi 307. Long story short the turbo was shagged and the seller agreed to sort this and that be the end of things which I was happy with as no other problems were present. Problem is now the car is running terribly had it at a local specialist who are adamant it needs the dpf cleaning which they have offered for 45quid in a caustic washer. been plugged into planet numerous times and they stand by this diagnosis but tell me an injector is overfuelling and this is causing the car to hesitate sometimes stall and generally surge when held at a constant speed for example 30mph in 3rd gear. They advise me to use an injector cleaner to resolve this which makes no sense to me as I think if it's overfuelling it's nakered. Just wondering if anyone has had similar problems in the past before I cut my losses on it? Have a 4 day old nipper and to be quite honest I have almost no time for faffing around on it anymore

There is no certainty that an injector cleaner will cure your fault, but for what it costs I would say it's well worth a try.
In the past I have used Millers fuel system cleaner and found it very effective.I have seen it on the shelf at Halfords.Could well be the reason why your dpf is blocked. If you try the Millers cleaner I would double the recommended dose and get it hot and give it a good hammering.

Well I've used the Wynns system cleaner at a slightly higher dose than stated, the dpf is going off to be cleaned today so hopefully this should improve the situation have had some success with the warranty supplied with the vehicle and they are happy to cover the cost of ny injector repairs required so it's just a case of working through each problem for now
