2007 307 petrol automatic has overheating problem at high speed.
Radiator has been flushed and a new thermostat and sensor fitted but the problem persists. What is the likely cause of the trouble. The car has done 151K miles and does not lose water.

Try feeling heater hoses. If they are cold then it's likely the auto box cooler is blocked. On the 206 the heater is constant flow and is on the same circuit as the gearbox cooler.

If the radiator was severely blocked, simple flushing will mostly not clear it properly. Use an infrared temp scanner across the radiator's surface when it is at operating temperature to see if it has a more or less constant temperature across it's surface. If it has definite cold and hot spots, it is still blocked and will need replacing.

As above, faulty water pump is another option, as is air locking in the system so make sure you have bled it properly including the heater matrix.
