Hello everyone.

This is my first post. I'm talking about my mother in laws car. She received a recall letter (about the ABS system) so rang the dealer to book in they said that there was no hurry, so booked in for a month time (earliest date from dealer).
A day later (yesterday) she was drive home, warning light came on so she stopped, smelt some thing strange, got out and the car was on firefire. The fire was in the engine bay, on the drive side (uk) in the steering wheel corner of the engine bay. The fire was quick to take hold of the car, fire crew were surprised just how quick it was before the car was totalled.
It was a 54 so a 2004 year car, estate model 1.6 diesel.

If you have had a recall letter make sure you get it done sooner rather than later.
