Hi all,

Question, is the odometer paired to the car?

I removed to odometer to replace cracked odometer plastic and since putting it back in, after turning off the car and removing the keys, wait for 30 secs - a minute when mileage lights go out, the odometer acts like it looses power and all the needles on rev- coolant - fuel and speedo twitch and drop back anti clockwise like its reset. Problem is every time it does this they always reset below what they should be.

So when i turn the car on again the rev instead will read 500rpm or less instead of 750ish and coolant when fully to temp of 89ish will read 70 same with fuel and speedo reading about 20km below actual speed.

Has it lost pairing with the bsi or something?

They are paired to car as far as mileage goes. That is if you replaced it with another unit then whatever mileage that unit logged will display on your car. Otherwise I would recheck your connector that you disturbed to ensure all is as it should be.
