I am having similar problem on a 2004 307 SW 1.6 petrol AL4.
History - was travelling at 75k when it beeped at gave a catalytic converter fault + Antipollution and I was able to shudder home. It would not restart.

After some reading here and online I removed the catalytic converter and flushed it out, left it to dry and replaced.

Renewed all four plugs.

Now it is not starting or will start as if on 3 pistons and cut out after a couple seconds.
I connected pplanet and the ECU has P0336 code.

Can anyone assist?

Why did you remove the catalytic converter. Your car is petrol, not diesel.
Washing it will do nothing but probably damage it.

P0336 relates to crankshaft sensor. Its most likely that causing nonstart or a fuel pump. The fuel pump gives most of the bother.
Get the car onto a diagnostic machine and check to see if the there is RPM when the engine is turning.

@ Betty - Once you don't stop your power helping!

Connected PPlanet last night and it showed fluctuating rpm when cranking and fluctuated between 500-800 when idling.

I grabbed some more readings from planet.

The misfire result above was at the end of the testing (previous fault was cleared).
There are also some faults with the transmission which I have included below in case it is related.

Without hearing the engine running, i'd see if a coil might cure it. As I say it may not be the coil.
The first three screen shots don't tell us anything.

Seems it was the coil. Day 4 after changing and running smoothly. Thanks to everyone for your assistance and David for your direction.

Cheers!
