Peugeot 307 1.4 HDI 51 plate

My on going issues.

Took the injectors to a diesel specialist who said that they were all blocked and hence not allowing the car to start – at least I know what the problem is now.

He said that he could not get any fuel out of them. He has stripped one down and cleaned it which improved it but he has said that the only way forward is to re-furbish them at £100 each or buy new ones at about £300 each

I simply can not afford this at the mo and question as the whether the car is actually worth it. But following a few posts on youtube, it does not seem to be much of a job to strip them down myself and clean. Has anyone had any experience at this. I figure – if they are not working at the moment, what have I got to loose.

Injectors don't block.
Have you had a diagnostic check done?
When you prime the bulb in the engine bay will the car start? Those pipes give loads of trouble. The airbox rubs off them also letting air into the system.

Yep - done all that with no joy.

The guy said they were all stuck up inside with a sticky residue stopping them from working. He stripped one down to discover this and I think he must have cleaned that one, which now works (to a degree)

Alrighty. Get peugeot planet onto it and check the parameter measurements on cranking. What pressure is being built? It should be north of 280bar. I would also feed the filter from a can of diesel directly and thatll indirectly rule out the fuel pipes all the way along. Also take the tank unit out and check the gauze on the bottom of it.
