my turbo on my 307 decided to die last month, im just getting around to change it, does anyone have any tips for removing the pre cat so i can get to the turbo,

its not actually attached to the turbo so every thing is covered in soot aswell

There is a clamp up near the top holding it to the turbo outlet and getting it off is actually the easy part wait till you try refitting it :(

Personally I would lower the subframe to get better access as some bolts are a challenge.

managed it now, i've dropped the subframe following the haynes manual, it lacks some information but is generally quite helpful thanks, the oil seals have gone on the turbo and chucked a lot of oil through the exhaust will it just burn off

Yes it will burn off BUT the oil will also be in your intercooler and if you don't empty it once you rev it enough to create boost the oil will be drawn into the engine causing it to rev itself !

Remove intercooler and allow it to drain off for a few days while you fight with the rest :)
