Got this message whilst driving home a few days ago. The car doesn't seem affected in any way other than anti-pollution light on dash and message "Antipollution Faulty"

I hooked it up to planet and lists

Having done some reasonably thorough googling it appears that the sensor in question is prone to failure, but so too is the actuator itself. Before I start ripping things out anyone have suggestions? For one thing, can I conduct any further diagnostics to work out if it is just the sensor?
