having owned a 55plate 307cc for 4 years now, we have just encountered another gremlin. We have had the random window operation, the roof operation chewing up the rear boot cover, non locking doors, non folding mirrors, the faulty emmisions sensor cutting the power, replacing the back light LED cluster - not bad for a car with only 37K miles on the clock. The latest edition is that the heater only sends out red hot air even when it is on low and the only option is to leave the fan off completely. Even then it still gets red hot in the car. So 2 questions, how does the heater get so hot so quickly (hot air in about 300 yards of driving). Will it be the broken gears on the mixer flaps or is there any other causes of this fault? the individual temp dials still indicate varying temperatures, the fan still goes faster /slower and the AC works - just on red hot:mad::mad: All help gratefully received.

The part numbers for the heater flap modification.
Think the've modified the part number but your dealer will know.
THanks, i'll check the number and get back to you. Just to share with the forum the excellent service offerred by our local dealer - My wife took it in to the dealer today to see if they could fix the heater problem, a quick quote of £1,300 !!! they denied the flap kit was available, said the whole dash had to come out and it needed a new heater matrix at a cost of £750. So how easy is it to fix the flap problem with the kit? how do you get to the drivers side - do you still access it by removing the glove box?
