Hi just new to the forum could any1 kindly give me a rough idea on how to change the strut top bearings on a 2003 1.6 307. And how long would it take, not too sure if I should just leave it in to the garage or try it myself!!!'

They are easy enough if you are handy with the tools and have a mechanical aptitude. Get yourself a copy of the Haynes manual and have a read then make your mind up if you feel confident or not. Just being able to do one job yourself rather than taking it into a garage will repay the cost of the manual two or more times over in savings.

Haynes has helped me replace my clutch, timing belt, rear springs & shock absorbers, front springs, anti roll bar bushes front brake pads and rear discs & pads. The saving I made on the clutch was around £380 compared with the quote I was given.
