Hello, I am considering buying a 2007 307cc but discovered during the test drive that the roof doesn't close properly and wondered if this was going to be an easily fixed problem.

The roof opens fine, but when you start to close the roof it seems to move forward before it goes up and so the front edge of the roof catches on the plastic cowling (that runs behind the rear headrests) and fails to lift. The dealer reckons this is common issue and just needs a bit of grease on the plastic to stop it from sticking, but that will just mean it scrapes the plastic on the way up. I haven't found any similar complaints in this forum.

Will a bit of tweaking/tightening on the roof mechanism sort this out, or is this a specialist (£££) repair?

A lass i know had a similar problem. Her's was catching on the plastic between the head rests. You can pop the plastic cover off and then you can adjust this piece by slacking off the 2 torx bolts, push it forward and tighten it back up!
