hi guys

daughters 307 1.6 petrol 06, a few weeks ago car was blowing fuses 20amp , my garage upgraded them to 25amp, said he was told todo that. these blew after car had been run for over 20mins, now car wont start lights come on but wont turn over just a click like its dead, try it a few times and car turns over and starts??

was told it could be the solinoid on the starter motor sticking! is that what would hav blown the fuses and now as there is a bigger fuse it is a case keep turning until it un sticks? lol

only happens when car is hot, starts first time when cold.

cheers

If a 20amp fuse has been installed from factory I would only replace with same rating or less , never put a bigger fuse in when trying to stop a circuit blowing , it's doing it for a reason !

If a larger fuse is used when the correct one is blowing it could cause wiring/component failure or meltdown , fire in worst case !

i didnt do it, the garage did and said they were advised to do it, and its also been stated on here that its been done as well.the car was in for problem to get fixed .

does seem like theres a bigger problem, thinking the starter motor.
