Hi

I have a 2002 307 2.0 petrol five door. Our local dealer recommends changing the cambelt at 4 years (supposedly a new recommendation with car manufacturers), but his car has only done 55000km! Am I missing something here, or are 307 cambelts more prone to damage than other vehicles I have owned in the past which were normally recommended for replacement at about 80,000km? Add to that the fact that a peugeot is an expensive car to service in this country (New Zealand) and you can see the reason for my question.

Cheers
