my car is a pain in the arse lol i have had it into several garages and pug specialists.ages ago it started by the engine management light and an anti pollution fault i had then fixed fluid topped up it fixed problem of turbo not working properly for a few days then it went back to square one again then had a solenoid replaced and sensors. it worked fine for a few days then seemed to go sluggish yet again. took it back to pug they fitted a new actuator it worked for a few week then it started again took it back to them they then said it was the turbo so i took it to get that fixed. there was lots of built up carbon inside turbo and dpf . both the turbo was fixed (so called) new dpf also, they brought it back still broken, took it back then they are saying to much fuel is being pumped in 90% ish per cylinder. can someone help me please :( ???

car has been remapped its a 2.0 litre hdi xsi 54 plate

number 4 is abit high but that wont make the turbo not work just use a little more fuel, somthing to check if your fuel filter and all turbo pipe work ect also air filter and MAF sensor

the latest mechanic is saying that its over fueling by about 5x the amount wich is why its building up with carbon, knocking turbo off. my friend seems to think there is a dodgy pipe seal from turbo

Hi I'm confused, you say it has been remapped? And it is getting too much fuel, so how do you know its not something to do with the remap? Also how come the mapper didn't suggest you remove the dpf?

it was knackered before remap. had it remapped after about 3rd time of so called being fixed. it had a brand new dpf fitted would this cause a problem i assumed a new one would work fine with remap ??

You need to stop fitting new bits this rarely works proper diagnostics is more useful and cheaper :)

Turbo is controlled by vacum and this would be my first check

Worn rockers can cause strange running without any obvious faults

Overfueling will cause smoking but not cut boost
