Hi Folks,

I have a 2005 307 1.6 HDi SW.

I would be grateful for a few pointers.

I have a fault 'INJECTOR 1 OPEN CIRCUIT' tested on a generic code reader. And the engine does not start.
I remember reading somewhere that on these particular engines, any problems with cylinder 1, the ECU shuts down the engine. IS THERE ANY TRUTH IN THAT?

And if its true.....can I swap the injector 1 & 2 to get the engine to start?
Are the injectors coded to the relevant cylinder numbers?

Can anyone help me (PLEASE)....I am stuck with a dead car.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi BS

Thanks for the reply....

Nothing happened.....driving normally.....started to misfire....
Cut out and then refused to start.

I have been looking at the injector one thinking that it is the one nearest to the cambelt, but have now been told that that Pug count them in the opposite way. Is that true?
Do I need to be looking at what I would normally call injector 4?

Thanks in advance
