hi I have recently bought a 2010 3008 1.6hdi 110
does anyone know if it is a timing belt or a chain and if its is a belt
should i get it changed. the car has done 98000 and has no history

It has both and at that miles i would change it peugeot say 10 years or 150k or 120k miles but thats just madness rubber gets old waterpump bearings fail tensioners and idlers fail

do you mean it has a timing chain and an auxiliary belt? never heard of a car having a timing chain and a timing belt?
