Hi folks hope you can help.
I have a 63plate 208 1.2 petrol I think engine is 3 cylinder and my speedo has stopped working. Rev counter continues to work. Basically I was driving along and went straight through a flooded part of the road and the water was up just past the sills. I have called around local garages and I'm getting conflicting information.
Some say speedo sender is on the wheel others say there is a plug on the side of gearbox. I'm thinking that if either is the case then poss they have become saturated with water.
Hope you can help.

Thanks

Depends on the gearbox. PM your VIN and I can take a look.

If speed is derived from the ABS module (using wheelspeed sensors), then I would be expecting errors related to that. If speed is derived from a gearbox speed sensor then the engine control module might not display prominent errors. Any driveability issues?
