Hi folks

My wife has requested 'a better radio' for her 207cc as a birthday present. I've no knowledge of upgrading car audio systems, never mind the 207cc in particular, so any advice would be much appreciated.

For example, is it as simple as just going to Halfords, get what looks like a decent system and taking it to a local installer (we're in Melksham (Wilts), near Chippenham)? It needs to have DAB and somewhere to plug in her USB music stick; CD nice but not essential.

She's not after a 'proper' hi-fi setup; as some sort of guide we previously had an Audi A3 with the mid-level audio option (Audi rather than Bose), sub in the boot, and she was happy with that. We've currently got an Arona whose standard (no sub) audio is ok, but we can tell it's not as good as the A3's.

Budget - can this be done for, say, £500?

Cheers
John
