I have a 58 plate 207 1.6 Vti Auto. My grandmother, the previous owner had it serviced by the dealer annually, and covered 33k miles in those 8 years,

I've had it serviced annually too. The last service was 11 months ago It had done 48k miles then. The service interval right after the service said 20k.

I had 2 new tyres fitted this week and it passed the MOT. Now it shows 5500 miles to go until a service is due and I've done 8k miles since the last one.

I'm planning to change the oil tomorrow and probably not do too much else for a while apart from monitor the usual stuff like tyres, brakes, fluids etc.

Does anyone know how the service interval is calculated?
