My 207cc Hdi was spluttering a bit over the last 2 weeks, thought it might be dirty fuel as the fuel level was a bit low ( not into the red ).
Stuck some fuel in on Tuesday.
This morning the little darling wouldn't start.
Turns over but won't start.
Feels like fuel shortage but as my first diesel I don't know where to start.

Any ideas please

I do have Autoaid , so could give them a call, but they might just want to take me to a garage.
Also have looked at the Planet Map, but the nearest member is in Falkirk about 40 miles away.

UPDATE.
Having read a bit more and a little thought.
I decided it might be the immobiliser.
So with the same key, I went through the procedure of turning the ignition on, ( no codes appearing on dashboard ) leaving it in and trying to open the door, and was met by a beeping sound, which shows the key is "communicating" with whatever it communicates with lol
Car starts fine.

Lesson is not to jump to conclusions!

You may have a fuel leak at the pipework where it goes under the air filter common issue if it is you WONT see any leaks as whats happening is air is leaking into the pipes causing fuel starvation.

If you have clear fuel pipes look at them for signs of air bubbles a few small bubbles is fine lots of frothy looking bubbles is not.
