So I bought a 207 1.6 hdi 90bhp 57plate registered 14/02/2008 two weeks before Christmas.
It’s got 79000 on the clock!
Last nighti parked up from work about 5:30 at 10:30 the alarm sounded I’ve grabbed the keys gone to the window and there is smoke billowing from the engine!
Fire service came out diagnosed it as the fuse box, fairly lucky it was noticed as I was half asleep.
Has anyone had issues with this model and fuse box before? Thanks.

Fuseboxes are a weak spot on these cars. Water ingress causes a multitude of different problems

The 207 was never a high point in the design history of Peugeot.
The electrical systems are notorious for going wrong with the under bonnet wiring being destroyed by corrosion due to water ingress - which in turn also damages the under bonnet fuse box.

If its not the electrical systems its the electric power steering system failing.
