Hello guys

Annoyingly I would of liked to started this thread off with an introduction and tell you all about my new 207.

But 400 miles into it it has developed what is seemingly the very usual depolluion fault.

Been reading about this and i I believe this is just a generic way of saying something is wrong.

The symptoms are the car runs fine but will cut out randomly (at a junction last time and that was very dangerous hence my decision to not drive it again) I have to come to a stop to start t again it may run for 2-3 miles or may run for 2-3 yards. The engine light is on and the pollution faulty message.

Now this wouldn't really be an issue, cars breakdown just a shame it's only 3 days into owner ship but I had decided to drive to my friends house this weekend which is 260 miles away and am now stuck here untill I can get the car to a garage in the morning. (Sorry work!)

So what I'm asking is if there is anything I can check my self or if anyone has had a similar symptoms and had it figured out?

Car is a 56 207 1.6 GT HDI

Many thanks

Sam.
