Two problems with the 207.

Its a 3 door 57 plate 90 HP 1.6 HDi Sport (I think peugeot could be prosecuted for incorrect descriptions there!)

I noticed a lack of power on the car so plugged in PP and found two faults. I cleared them down then went for a drive and two are back.

First is a permanent fault i think cured by new glow plugs? Fault reads;
Permanent Fault. pre/post heating relay circuit.relay controlled and spark plugs not supplied.
Any one confirm this is what i need?

The second is an intermittent fault although before clearing it was showing as permanent.
turbo pressure regulation.turbo pressure measured too low.

Any clues where to start checking on this second one, or will it be cured by replacing glow plugs.

The car has only done 33,000 miles, my 406 HDi has done 110000 and never needed a new glow plug why would it need new glow plugs.

As always all help appreciated.

Fault does NOT mean you need glowplugs it MIGHT need them it might be something else connected to that circuit.

They are nothing to do with your boost issue this is your main problem and can be caused by many things not all faults will show a code though.

I will tell you mate,
Its really this simple !
Since engines have to be made and run to comply with current EU regulations they have went sh1t, seriously they have.
Try and get the car running the way it should and sell it, simple as that.
They are crap !
I am speaking out of experience and a fitter working on them.
Sorry to be so blunt but I am only here to try and help and even if you go into fine detail I will tell you the same.
I have had these engines down to the "knackers" and believe me they are crap.
Horrible engines, with a life expediency , LOL
Believe this..they are crap engines.
Get rid while you can.
Sorry to be so much "up front" but simple case is I am right.
Thanks

Well, from reading you posts on another thread it seems like you are here to bad mouth Peugeots as opposed to your claim of being here to help.

I had a 1.6 HDI 307 on a 55 plate with over 120,000 miles on the clock and the engine was running like it was new and the car was returning an average of 55 MPG. Not to shabby for what you claim is a piece of shit with no real life expectancy. Just because you had a bad experience with one of these engines doesn't necessarily mean they are all the same.

The question I have to ask is that if you really are a someone who regularly works on these engines and knows how 'bad' they are then why did you buy one for yourself ?? Without meaning to be offensive, when I was serving my time as an apprentice, the term 'fitter' was a rather derogatory term for people who just fitted parts as opposed to the engineer who diagnosed and repaired.

The glowplug one isn't urgent at the moment eother a plug gone or the relay is stuck. With the other fault is the lack of power all the time or just sometimes?

Not too worried about glow plug atm. The turbo i can hear wooshing up but the car lacks power all the time. I checked the flexi pipes to the intercooler and other i could see and couldnt see any disconnects or holes. Turbos are a bit of a mystery.
Thanks for the helpful suggestions, i dont class get rid of the car as helpful though.
