Having just been through this, the ServiceBox parts list doesn't show the pulley as a separate part (at least not on my 406) but it's easy to check if your alternator has an over-running pulley - it will have a plastic cap on the front. If there is no plastic cap AND it has a standard hex nut holding the pulley on it isn't an over-running one. There's buckets of info on these things on the interweb.

Hey guys! Today I removed the alternator and took it to an electrician. He tested the alternator (it had the plastic cap on top), it was charging pretty well but it's regulator is bad because it loses it's charge if you know what I mean. No noises on the bench. I came home because I have to wait until Monday with the new regulator, so I wanted to find out if the engine still had that noise. I started it for a few seconds but the noise is still there. I don't know what could it be. Maybe the engine officially sounds like that? Or if I installed a induction kit it would solve it?
