Hi peeps...

My misuses 207 58 plate 1.4 Sport came up with an audible and visual warning yesterday saying the engine was too hot and we needed to stop the vehicle.

As we had just started the car the temp was no was that high so we drove it cautiously, it had lost around a pint of water from the expansion tank.

Having researched, I have just changed the Temperature Sensor that is on the side of the block by the gear box, this has not cured the issue.

Has anyone come across this before?

What was the issue and how did you resolve it?

Thanks in advance..

James

Not sure if apply to your engine but for some 207 a problem with thermostat housing is reported, even in some cases it was fixed by a recall. Do a search in the forum as this problem was mentioned before.

hope it helps, cheers
