Hi Everyone,

New to the forum after just purchasing a 2012 207 1.4 8v and the timing belt snapped at 50,000 miles.
I have had the head machine work completed and ready to put the engine back together, I apologise if the following information is already available but I couldn't find it using the search feature but does anyone have the head bolt torque procedure when using new bolts?
As I have had the valve seats re-cut and head skimmed, is there also a procedure for adjusting the valve clearances?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Thank you for the reply and reference to the head bolt procedure Stripe88 on the single cam 8v.

non vti single overhead cam 1.4
stage one 20nm
stage two angle tighten 240deg

Valve clearances I'm able to do but unfortunately can't find the specifications for the 8v, it seems the 16v engine is the more preferable choice with more source of information.

The head is a Z06 if that influences any specs?

Thanks again for the help with this.

cylinder no 1 is GEARBOX side

inlet 0.2mm
exhaust 0.4mm

valve open no1 exhaust ... adjust no3 inlet and no4 exhaust
valve open no3 exhaust ....adjust no4 inlet and no2 exhaust
valve open no4 exhaust .... adjust no2 inlet and no 1 exhaust
valve open no2 exhaust ... adjust no1 inlet and no 3 exhaust

if you have done it before its easy, if not just check a few youtube vids, must be 15 years since i have had to do it.
