My car is doing the same.

I had a split turbo intake pipe and outlet pipe, these have been replaced. I also had the EGR cleaned, although I was told that these break 99% of the time when being cleaned. Does your engine warning light come on? Mine does, then the car has no power and does not rev past 3000rpm either. This fault seems to be intermittent, however even when the engine light is off and the car revs past 3000rpm there is still no power whatsoever. Driving anywhere with a hill is awfully slow. I have given my car to a mechanic to correct the problem. Have you had any luck with getting yours resolved?

 

Remove the catalytic converter, ill bet its blocking the exhaust.

 

Replaced boost pipes and inlet manifold seals along with egr valve gasket. Boosted straight up

 

I had the same problem with the non existent turbo it was a thin pipe that had came off the brake servo cylinder

Hi there glad you managed to get it sorted I ended up part exchanging my hdi gti for a mk5 golf coz a cuddnt stand the chirping from the engine
