Hi..I need to get a replacement key cut that's on my central locking fob. Does anybody know how to get the old key blade out of the fob, as it appears to be kept in place by some sort of rivet so it can flip out and fold away. I've tried prying and pushing it out but to no avail.

Hi Dave,
I put the key into a vice (sandwiched between a couple of pieces of wood) I then got a 2 mm drift (precision screw driver) and tapped the rivet (as you call it) out of the hole. Mine was in there quite firm so it took a few decent hits with a small hammer. Make provisions to catch the rivet using a cloth below the pin. Re-fitting is a reversal of the removal process.

Hope this helps :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Key

Thanks ever so much for that....Peugeot want £50+ for just the key to be cut, but I've found a locksmith that will do it for less than £20 if I can get it out, so i'll have a go.
