I recently purchased a 2004 307 7 seat estate but last couple of days heater blower comes on and off almost every time I go over a bump, slam car door shut etc. I've followed the guide for removing the resistor only problem is it tells you to access it underneath the driver foot well and turning the a/c on and a small white elbow moves out of the way allowing you access. However on my model I don't have the white moving elbow as shown in the pics. I was wondering if its possibly dif on certain models. And could anyone offer me advice as to where to look.

Thnx for any help in advance

If it has climate control like mine you go from the passenger side taking the glovebox out and removing the motor which it 3 torx screws then twist it and the resistor is behind the motor bit of a pain but not a bad job

,

OR, if like mine it has aircon and climate control, you remove the glovebox then remove the motor by twisting it. The resistor is inside the motor housing. :)

I should have mentioned I don't think I have climate control unless that's what the auto button is for. Is there a guide for removing the glove box or is it pretty straight forward

If it has auto on and the LCD screen on for the temp it has climate and the glove box is simple think it's 2 screws at the top and bottom
Cheers will have a look at it in the morning. What's best solution just replace the resistor??? I never use auto as it always seems to whack everything on full inc the air con.

Also is it plain screws or is it the wee torx ones????

Might be different now but I got a second hand fan unit from a breakers as that was cheaper at the time just price up both and the resistor you need is like a half moon shape

Managed to get glove box despite those pesky hidden screws. Does anyone have a PIC of the exact location of the blower resistor please

Its got the LCD display
Look up towards the middle of the windscreen and you should see the round motor casing. Grab hold of the motor unit and turn clockwise you should then feel it unlock and you should be able to pull it towards you. When you have got to this stage unplug the 2 elecrtical plugs from the motor and then guide the unit out through the glovebox opening. Mind you dont yank any of the other looms/wires when doing this. It is very fiddley to do and i took a short cut and bent the right hand glovebox location bracket upwards with a pair of pliers, then bent it back afterwards. :D
