i have this problem with my car regarding fuse 7 in the fuse box behind the glovebox, it keeps blowing ive disconnected everything that the fuse runs via the handbook and i cant seem to fatham out where i have the short but wondering if there is a common problem with the control module ie the fusebox..

thanks for looking and hope you could give me some ideas..

Rear roof light
Front roof light, map reading light
Front 12V socket
Cigar lighter
Glove box light

Any sign of water/dampness in these areas? or the fuse box? anything happen recently different than normal with your car?

hi no there is no signs of water ingress anywhere but we have found that every purple wires that feed all the things that this fuse covers is earthed

hi yeah what i mean is that there is 2 earth and no positive feed like there is a dead short on that wire

Hi

I assume you have not been using any heavy (in terms of current consumption) devices plugged into the ciggy sockets have you?

I have seen these booster charger things melting ciggy lighter sockets causing shorts.

I assume you have no fancy LED type interior lamps that replace traditional bulbs?
