Good morning All,

Just a quick question regarding the 2.7 Hdi – I’ve got 2 EGR blanking plates and before I fit these I’m concerned that fitting these will cause the ECU to have a fit and throw up EML, DPF faults etc…… is this the case? Do the EGR’s need to be coded out once blanked off?

Car is a 407 Coupe

Let me know if any of you have experience of this….

Thanks - Wako

No experience of the 2.7 HDi..
but,

My 2005 407 2.0 HDi Xline didn't mind it's EGR being blanked.
My 2008 407 2.0 HDi GT spat it's dummy out within a few miles.

So your mileage may vary.

On a related subject, my 508 GT didn't seem to mind me doing it. Although it did seem to make it run a bit funny sometimes
