Hello Everybody,

I got the follwing problem from my beloved Coupé,

if it shifts from 5 to 6 at the speed 130km/h (or over), it falres for for about 2 sec and it shows PRND on the console.
Fault code P0741 : Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off

Beside of this it changes the gears smoothly, no problem on other levels, nor shift from 5 to 6 at lower speed.


Is it a problem of the gearbox or could it be something else?

Any suggestion what should I check? What i've done so far is the chack of the airflow meters,cleaned it, however it did not help at all.

Probably has a fault with the valve body in the gearbox. It is a well documented fault with this box. Google faults with AM6 gearbox..

A full flush/oil change might help [it did with mine] but not always. Probably is only a short term solution anyway.

I think i will start with the oil change and will see the outcome

If it wont help, I will look after other solution,
