Engine - 2.2 HDi DW12BTED4 FAP - twin turbo I believe

When accelerating hard, there is a noticeable hesitation at around 1900-2000rpm and again at 2400-2500rpm. It's most noticeable in 3rd and 4th gear.

Is this common or a sign of impending engine self destruction?

2500 is when the big turbo starts being used. Not sure about 2000. My guess is that it's something to do with one of the control solenoids.

I have some roughness sometimes at around 2500 and have intermittent fault codes (no EML) about my air doser.

I'd get it on PP2K to see if it thinks it knows what's wrong, and a parameter measurement on the various butterflies...
