Hi,

I've just bought a 2003 partner 2.0HDi. I'm going to service it, but I have a question.

I remember being told that when changing the fuel filter on an HDi it was better to replace the entire housing rather than just the filter element.

Is this correct? A dealer tells me no, but they were a very unimpressive dealer.

thanks

mas

I have a 307 and a Partner with the HDI engine, and have heard the same. Apparently the housing get damaged when you try to seperate it? Hoping someone knows if it best to replace the housing or if they do come apart succesfully with a strap wrench?
