2003 Partner van intermittently cuts out and fails to restart. Only happens during or after rain or highly damp conditions. Curiously, will initially start and drive for up to 1 mile before cutting out. Always gives fault code P0336. Have already replaced crank position sensor, cam position sensor, throttle position sensor and injectors.

Also have intermittent speedo stopping working - don't know if related?

Problem first occurred a few years ago having driven through deep water.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Usually restarts about an hour or so later once it has been sprayed everywhere in the engine with WD40, although think it has usually also stopped raining by then.

Partner cutting out in rain/wet weather is nearly always water ingress into BSI inside van

Does floor get wet or any other obvious signs of damp INSIDE the cab ?

Hi

Carpet seems a bit damp under driver side floormat, although floorpan underneath carpet is dry. The bsi itself appears to be bone dry as far as we can see.

Thanks

Well that is by far the most likely culprit check the wiring the water may be running down it into BSI and once you hit a few bumps it gets splashed about and shorts things out.

Also check earths down near floor.
