Help my 307sw 2.0 110 HDI started to hesitate & also then backfire on change down (4 to 3 or 3 to 2) & after disconnecting/reconnecting the wires to both the bottom Vacuum Solenoids the problem dissapeared. Now after 2 months the hesitsting is back again. I have replaced both bottm Vacuum Solenoids & not cured it. anyone know of a decent Pug mechanic/garage in/around Longbridge B,ham who can sort this without getting ripped off please. I,m due to take the family on holiday in a few weeks so pretty urgent ....by the way this car is driven on motorway all week so Pat not issue, & no fault codes present.

HDI hesitates - reply

Hi Gibbo, cheers for your help again. At the moment it is at garage as the rad fan not coming on, the sensor, fuses, relay, rad resistor coil, fan loom & fan all changed but still not coming on. I don't mind spending a few hundred on car but now it has to goto Auto Elect garage to be looked at as no power getting to fan. If this does not cost too much then I can then sort this 1st, then get this EGR thing sorted, would like a non ripoff mechanic as these 2.0 HDI have the EGR at back of engine & have seen people saying that engine has to moved forward on mount to get access & expensive.

Anyone around B,Ham area with a recommended garage, as I have only seen a couple of Pug specialist garages in Coventry, but last time it went into Pug dealer it came out worse than it went in.

As to the 2 bottom solenoids I thought that they were both the same model/code but they were both diferent codes?
