Just been bought a s/h 406 estate (for which I will have to reimburse the buyer).

When I got it home, noticed a pool of water in the back passenger footwell - is this the result of a broken heater matrix ? is it safe to drive the car to a garage 8 miles away ? (there is still water in the radiator and the inlet where it gets filled)

Also, is there any truth in the saying that if the back wheels are tilted in towards each other, the car is on its last legs ?

One very unhappy driver here...

Previous 406 saloon was fine till the head gasket went...

if ur car is leaning in over normally means axle is on way but on 406 not sure if u adjust them by a tie rod on back end not 100% but sounds like axle trouble
