Got a problem with the 12v front socket on my 307 estate 2.0hdi 2004 90bhp.

Have searched and the only relevent threads only mention fuses. which ive checked and are fine.

fuses 10 and 12 in the glovebox are not blown plus interior lights are working.

checked engine compartment fuses which again are fine.

Just noticed one day it was note working, believe that it went when i wasnt even using it .

kinda stuck, the 12v socket is pretty important since i use it for TomTom. withjout the 12v socket ive pretty much wasted my money buying a satnav.

Please don't take offence and I'm not intending to patronise, but...
are you sure it's the socket?
The reason I ask is, my sister asked me to check her socket because her sat-nav wouldn't charge; it was her sat-nav charger that was faulty, not the socket.

Yep tried 2 other USB chargers none working.

But i found the issue, turns out that fuse 7 is for the front 12v socket. a few posts elsewhere suggested 10 and 12.

fuse 7 was popped
