Hi all. Im fitting a 12s towing socket to my 807. Does anybody know if there is a constant 12v supply to the rear of the vehicle in the loom? On my other cars there was and just required a fuse fitting in the fuse box. Saves time running a new cable.
Thanks.

There should be a perm 12v to the rear power socket which you should be able to use

I don't know if the wiring would be man enough for the job. Will be for powering the fridge and the caravan battery via a volton combi relay

Check in the handbook I am sure its fused at 25 or 30 Amp. I used to run a large fridge/coolbox in the boot from the socket with no issues (other than a flat battery when I forgot I left it plugged in for two days and did not use the car)

Just checked the handbook and its a 20a fuse, so will be ok:thumb:. The volton combi wiring diagram states you only require a 16a fused supply. Next job to get the interior trim off.

Thanks again

The wiring gauge is for 20amps rating and as above the rated fuse is 20amps. The fuse is a bit of a sod to get too as its not easily accessible from the front of the box. The tail of the wire is behind the offside rear tail bulb access point and Is a thick yellow wire terminated with a white plug. My caravan kept blowing the 20amp fuse on occasions so I repaved with a 25amp and its been ok since. All in All an easy job.
