407 2.0 HDI due a 112k service.

Calling around a few local garages. Tried a "French Car Specialists" not a main dealer:

112k mile interim service, plus cam belt change - £450-£500
Turn off tyre pressure warning - £59
Turn off rear parking sensor fault (as can't seen to get them working anymore) - £59
Particle filter addictive level too low - "can't quote on that until it's booked in to have a look, may be £100'ish , also turn off the warning - £59

So looking at £677 + approx £100 for the addictive top up + VAT

Think I'll keep looking... :nono::confused::eek:

Buy planet do everything yourself except cam belt and save a fortune.

Everything is easy enough to do even the additive top up, you don't even need tools to top up.

Changed your mind about cam belt?

Price wise sounds roughly right. What oil they gonna use? Top up additive is that just 1ltr?

Yeah, no need for cam belt just yet. They said can be up to 160k so will get done at 120k to be safe.

They have to order minimum addictive, so the cost covers that.

Oil, not sure but have serviced it before.

From my experience at work... Iv got a Renault traffic 13 plate and my belt snapped at 100k... But I herd that it's either 3 years or 100k?... I don't know but that's 1 thing I keep on top of with my 407 haha! Just had mine replaced at 72k :)
