Hi all,

Its that time of year again when my annual service is due on my Peugeot 107. Current millage is just coming up to 30K and my last full service was around 12 months ago at 20K which was carried out by a local garage that I have used for a number of years. This year cash is a bit short to pay the high price of using my local garage as they want £160 for the full service which so I thought I could do it myself.

The only worry about doing it myself is I don't want to attempt to change the spark plugs as I just don't feel confident in doing them after an issue on another car I had so I wanted to know how often should spark plugs be changed and would it hurt not changing them this year if I was to service the car myself. The spark plugs was last changed 12 months ago at 20K.

Also recently the rear drums and handbrake have been adjusted and the front disc and pads changed. The brake fluid was changed at last service also so this also does not need to be done again this year.

Is this all the items I need to do a service.
Air Filter
Oil Filter
Cabin Filter
Oil
Sump Plug Washer

Would anything else need to be changed. Coolant level is just below the max mark.

Many Thanks
Chris

If the car does not have air con there is no pollen filter.

If last service was a "Full Service" not interim then they should have changed Air filter in which case it should not need replacing after 10K (it a easy to remove filter to check condition before ordering)

The car does have AirCon and also for the cost of a few ££ for a filter I might as well change the engine air filter at the sametime.

My main worry was not changing the spark plugs this year and leaving them another year. Would this be ok

Just had a look on ECP for price of items. Amazing how cheap the bits are.

£43 for Shell Engine Oil (Helix Ultra 5W-40 5Ltr), Bosch Air Filter, Oil Filter and Cabin Filter

I've always done a full service on the 107, and it's super easy to do it.

Pollen filters only cost £10 but it's not critical to the working of the car. As long as the oil is changed with the filter you should be OK. Plus plugs are only £4 each, and you only need 3!
