Hi there, just wondering if anyone could give me some advice/help? I’ve a 2000 Peugeot 106 1.1 (TU1M) HDZ. It’s a single plug ecu, but I’m struggling to find a VTR engine with a loom and ecu that is single plug. If I opted for a three plug VTR engine how would I connect the interior loom? As I was told they would no longer connect. Also, would I have to change immobilisers etc with keys and chips too? TIA

Be far easier to just buy a 106 GTI or Saxo VTR / VTS

Putting the 1.6 engine in to a 1.1 wound also require braking & suspension upgrades to plus the obvious insurance premium rise.

Clean original 106 GTI / Saxo VTR / VTS are going up in price as the youth have destroyed / ruined most of them.

I know how much easier it would be but this is simply a project that I want to take on. Would give me experience but also it’s more unique. I am well aware of all the supporting upgrades that are required, I have already begun some. I’m not interested in doing it the cheapest or easiest way. Just don’t want to buy the wrong thing.
