The design on these is rubbish the plastic tube goes into the air box but it pops out

Has anyone come up with a better situation?

What about if I get a solid intercooler type pipe and connect it instead ?

It’s the bit that clips into the airbox it’s square one of my clips have broken off

It’s basically square with a small bend on it. Then the air pipe connects to that

Luckily that part is on the fresh air intake side,
I.E. outside air goes in here before going through the Air Filter then onto the MAS and onto the rocker cover then Turbo

You could try and seal it with silicone sealant, but its not that important.

The biggest issue with the 1.6hdi you can’t get the airbox out to make a repair

I have put a cable tie on the pipe that goes into the bend around the turbo pipe to keep a bit of sideways force seems to work fine

Take out battery and fuel filter then take lid off air box (3 Hex Screws) and it just fits out that side.
