My 2003 combi escapade is running ok but I noticed the temp gauge is sitting around the 90 mark rather than the 70 mark, what could be causing this?

I have been advised that the thermostat has gone and needs replacing along with a coolant change, any ideas if this sounds correct and what it would cost?? thanks.

It is feasible the thermostat is not opening correctly, causing warmer running temps. Always worth a periodic coolant flush and change anyway. Costs depend if you do it yourself or not. Thermostat itself I would think about £15 from factors.

Thanks Cibear for your info hopefully getting this done will cure the problem.
