I want to check that my DPF regen syetem will work correctly, having just spent £200 on a new Cat/DPF and fitted it myself. The original was blocked so I suspect the regen side may be faulty?

I have a 'ECU-PRO Universal Diagnostic OBD2/EOBD Interface' by Zoobek Electronic which may help in this? Guess I need to check additive is present in the system and that planned regen will occur, any advice on how the systen functions and how to check its seviceability would be most useful!

Thanks Gibbo for your reply. As advised in your reply I have read the two links and would like to express my gratitude in your help. Regarding my Pugs like yourself I own 307s, two SWs, my latest is a 2008 1.6 HDI which I am keen to get sorted after DPF and turbo failure. The other is a 2.0 litre Hdi with a warped head after overheating in a traffic jam in Glossop last year following a shooting and much police activity. This car is currently having another engine fitted, I am a sucker for prolonging life of machines, 'too good to scrap' being my failing, think this comes from being an ex aircraft technician trained to fix anything!

Any way I note that a PP guy lives near me in Sheffield but only gets PMs, but I am a newbie and not reached 20 posts yet and I do not think as yet I can send PMs - is that correct? Therefore, how can I get in touch with him please? His name is Mel and lives in Dronfield near Sheffield, about 10 miles from me and would be ideal if poss to do me a diagnostic to check out my regen system!

Thanks again

Andy
