Hello I’m new to the forum and looking for answers. I have a p0011 fault on my car and it won’t start. Has anyone else had this? It’s saying inlet camshaft dephasing.
Any info would be great. Ive changed the cam and crank sensors, and removed the solenoid valves and cleaned them. Put them back in.

I had the same problem. Did the same as you with no start, gave it a push start and it started no problem, but ended being the timing chain and vvt hubs, try giving it a push start and see, did your engine sound rattly loss of power or sound like your exhaust was blowing,

No really mate. One minute it was all good, next minute nothing
Yup, sorry but thats your timing chain as already stated, common fault on these engines, Peugeot were defo smoking something around the table with BMW the day they agreed to use those engines in these lovely cars.

your timing is now out, at some point its slipped a tooth or 2, its down to the tensioner.....bad design, you can try putting the timing right, but it will end up slipping again if the tensioner is knackered, you can get the locking kits fairly cheap off ebay, just study some youtube videos on how to do it, its not a difficult job, just a time consuming one, I did my own, chain kits are fairly cheap too, I didnt bother changing my VVT's, just cleaned them up with some brake cleaner.

Be careful and take note though, if you remove the VVT's, although they look the same, they are different, there is a specific one for intake and a specific one for exhaust.

As I said had the exact same problem and it was timing chain, I had knocking from the engine to and it was the vvt hubs that needed replaced to, glad you got to the bottom of it, shop around to get it done, prices vary from some I had £1200 to £420 mind you that was with the vvt hubs they make it more expensive,
