Hi my 307 1.4 HDI has lost power over 2000rpm, about where the turbo should kick in. I have been driving around never going over 2000 rpm for months because after 2k the rev counter goes up but the speed doesn't. It barely gets up hills. I am due to replace the clutch on Saturday as I suspect it is slipping. Before I do:

a) Could it be the Turbo,
B) Could it be the Catalytic Converter?
c) What tests can I do to determime what is at fault?

Having just re-read your original post, almost definitely clutch problem if the engine is revving ok but no drive/acceleration.

If the revs increase but the car doesn't speed up it does seem to suggest a slipping clutch..??

What happens if you are in 4th gear at low revs and then plant your right foot - I should think this would definitely point to the clutch.

Sadly, until its replaced/fixed its hard to tell what else may be wrong, sorry

The revs definitely go up while the speed doesn't, so I'll change the clutch tonmmorow.
