Earlier today car/key working fine. Went to use the car and the remote key fob is not working. I opened the doors manually, but the car is showing the immobilisor warning on the dash. I have done the following:
replaced the battery in the key fob (made no difference)
I have a 308 (2009). I inherited only one key (with fob) with the car last year.
Last month my car key fob fell apart and unfortunately (unbeknown to me at the time) I had a hole in my pocket, and lost the metal bit of the key whilst out.
I ordered a new key fob from our local Peugeot...
Battery is end of life on my 06plate 206cc.
Have replacement battery and seems simple enough to change over. However I'm a little concerned once I disconnect the battery that the immobiliser won't function properly.
Does anyone know if replacing the battery will cause an immobiliser issue...
