Default Weird wiper problem, '10 plate E7

Mate has got problem with his wipers...... on slow speed they will work normally for about 6 sweeps then judder across the screen. Same happens on intermittent wipe although they just judder all the time there, this happens even with the wipers lifted off the screen so it's not a blade problem. If you hold down the arm to the intermittent position and don't let go the wiper works in slow speed perfect. Fast speed works fine all the time. He has had new wiper motor with linkage fitted ie brand new not second hand and also a new comms unit but still the problem persists. Anyone got any ideas, Reliable 406 ????

If he got a fusebox from allied, would you fit it for him/ I know you said you don't work with taxis anymore but iirc it's only a ten minute job, don't think he'd mind coming out to your place. If yes you can pm me your location.
Ta muchly
